Bonjour à toutes et à tous,
C’est avec un immense plaisir que nous vous annonçons la tenue
du 36e Congrès International de l’AFIO,
les 30 septembre, 1er et 2 octobre 2026 à Avignon.
Cette année, l’Association Française d’Identification Odontologique vous accueillera
dans le cadre exceptionnel du Palais des Papes,
pour trois journées de conférences, de retours d’expérience, d’échanges scientifiques et de rencontres conviviales,
avec la participation de nombreux intervenants français et internationaux.
Au programme…
Mercredi 30 septembre – Ateliers dans les thématiques suivantes :
Toute la journée (9h – 16h30)
- Un atelier identification avec mise en pratique d’une mission Identification de Victimes de Catastrophes (limité à 30 participants)
- Un atelier « Cas pratiques d’expertise en dommage corporel » pour les praticiens et les experts novices et confirmés (limité à 20 participants)
Jeudi 1er octobre – Réparation juridique du dommage corporel
- Cas pratiques d’expertise et responsabilité du praticien, les fractures endodontiques
- Attentes des magistrats et des assurances pour le rapport d’expertise
- Actualités du dommage corporel
- Les experts sur le ring : session interactive autour de cas concrets
- Assemblée Générale de l’AFIO à 17h00 !
Vendredi 2 octobre – Identification odontologique
- Session exceptionnelle Cold cases
- Intervention du Pr Alain Bauer : L’homicide en France
- Retour sur les attentats de Bruxelles et de Nice, dix ans après
- Approches transdisciplinaires, imagerie médico-légale, identification humaine
- Table ronde sur la déposition de l’expert aux Assises
Notre congrès accueillera cette année encore une session de posters scientifiques.
Et parce que les rencontres scientifiques se poursuivent aussi en dehors des conférences :
- Mercredi soir : dîner-croisière sur le Rhôneavec les Grands Bateaux de Provence
- Jeudi soir : Dîner de gala et soirée dansanteexceptionnels au cœur du Palais des Papes… Quelques surprises vous seront dévoilées prochainement dans le programme détaillé !

IOFOS will be represented with a dedicated IOFOS–IAFS plenary session on 28 May, as well as a workshop on Dental Age Assessment in cadavers, also taking place on 28 May. After several years of absence, IOFOS will once again have an active scientific presence at the IAFS meeting.
The 7th International Conference of Dentistry
The 7th International Dentistry Conference, taking place on April 17–18, 2026, is organized by the Kosovo Chamber of Dentists in cooperation with the Anthropological Dental Association of Kosovo. This international scientific event will bring together dental professionals, researchers, and academics from Kosovo and abroad, with invited lecturers from Turkey, Italy, Brazil, Portugal, and Croatia.
The conference aims to create a dynamic platform for the exchange of professional experiences, the presentation of the latest scientific research and clinical innovations in dentistry, and the promotion of evidence-based practice across all dental disciplines. Through lectures, discussions, and professional networking, the event seeks to strengthen international cooperation and contribute to the continuous professional development of the dental community.

IOFOS Patronage – International Conference on Dental Anthropology and Forensics
The International Organization for Forensic Odonto-Stomatology (IOFOS) is pleased to grant its official patronage to the session dedicated to Dental Anthropology and Forensic Sciences within the framework of the international conference “Key Aspects of Dental Anthropology and Forensics Today”, to be held on 18 April 2026 in Prishtina, Kosovo.
